Job Description: QA Engineer – Guidewire + ETL + Data Testing

 

Work Model: Hybrid (2–3 days/week in office)

 

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled QA Engineer with hands-on experience in Guidewire testing, ETL QA, and Data validation. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of QA methodologies, be proactive in problem-solving, and have experience in agile environments.

Key Responsibilities:

•        Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Guidewire PolicyCenter/BillingCenter/ClaimCenter applications.

•        Perform ETL testing for data pipelines, ensuring data integrity and completeness across data sources.

•        Conduct data validation and data comparison across systems and databases.

•        Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, BAs, and product owners to understand requirements and testing scope.

•        Identify, report, and track bugs in a structured manner.

•        Contribute to test automation frameworks and help drive automation strategy (if applicable).

•        Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).

Required Skills:

•        5–8 years of overall QA experience.

•        Hands-on experience with Guidewire (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter).

•        Strong knowledge of ETL processes and data testing/validation.

•        Proficient in SQL for data validation and test preparation.

•        Familiarity with QA tools like JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail, or similar.

•        Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

•        Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Good to Have:

•        Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, UFT, etc.)

•        Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for data pipelines.

•        Basic understanding of insurance domain, particularly P&C insurance.
