We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Java Backend Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and deploying robust, scalable backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. A strong background in cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) is essential for this role. You will play a crucial role in building the backend services that power our applications, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and reliability. 

Key Responsibilities

Design and Development: Lead the design and development of high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and deliver high availability and performance [1].

Microservices Architecture: Build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code within a microservices architecture [1].

API Development: Design, develop, and implement robust APIs using REST principles.

Cloud Integration: Deploy, manage, and scale applications on cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) [1]. Utilize cloud services effectively for storage, compute, and messaging.

Collaboration: Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Testing and Quality: Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications; write comprehensive unit and integration tests [1].

Code Review and Mentorship: Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other operational issues. 

Required Qualifications and Skills

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development [1].

Java Expertise: Deep understanding of the Java ecosystem, including Java 8/11+ features.

Spring Framework: Extensive experience with the Spring ecosystem, particularly Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Cloud [1].

Microservices: Proven experience in designing, building, and deploying microservices architecture [1].

Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in either AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, Lambda) or GCP (e.g., Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL) [1].
